About Us
Meet the founder, Natalie

Hi, I’m Natalie, founder of Dental Hygiene to You—a mobile dental clinic supporting people of all ages in the comfort of their own environment. I understand that traditional dental settings aren’t always the right fit for every individual or family. That’s why I bring professional, preventative dental care directly to you—whether in your home, school, daycare, aged care facility, or community space—removing barriers so everyone can maintain their oral health with ease and confidence.
While I care for people across all stages of life, I have a special focus on early oral health education and creating positive first dental experiences. I believe a child’s first dental visit should be positive, playful, and fear-free—because these early moments shape a lifetime of oral health habits. That’s why I offer play-based dental visits to you, including at daycare and early learning centres, where children feel safe, supported, and surrounded by friends and caring educators. In familiar environments, what could feel like a scary moment becomes a fun, confidence-building adventure—helping children see the dentist as a friend rather than a fright.
With over 25 years in the dental industry, I am a dedicated Dental Hygienist passionate about making care accessible, personalised, and inclusive. I use my experience with neurodiverse communities—along with personal family insights—to tailor care in a supportive and respectful environment. My own journey with Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD) and chronic facial pain has deepened my appreciation for early intervention in orofacial development and inspired my holistic, functional approach to oral health.
My extended training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, Dental Nutrition, Sleep Disordered Breathing, and TMD management allows me to provide the highest standard of care tailored to each person’s unique needs. Through Dental Hygiene to You, I provide compassionate, high-quality care in the comfort of your home—ensuring every patient feels safe, supported, and heard.
What is a Dental Hygienst?
A Dental Hygienist is a registered dental practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) who focuses on the prevention and assessment of oral health conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, comprehensive examinations within scope, teeth cleaning, radiographs, oral hygiene advice, and preventative care.
Dental Hygienists play a vital role in helping patients maintain optimal oral health and prevent issues before they become more serious.
In cases where further treatment or specialised care is needed—such as seeing a dentist or other health professionals—we ensure our clients receive appropriate recommendations and referrals when care falls outside our scope of practice.
What is a Orofacial Myofuncational Therapist?
An Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist (OMT) is a qualified health professional, typically with a dental or speech background, trained to diagnose and treat dysfunctions of the orofacial muscles, teeth, jaws, and tongue. Treatment typically involves an individualized exercise program designed to retrain the muscles, encouraging proper function to promote optimal orofacial growth and development. Collaboration with other health professionals is often a key part of the process, and referrals may be made as needed.
Whilst Natalie is a qualified and trained Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist (OMT), her services at Dental Hygiene to You focus on the screening of structures such as tongue function, airway space, and any speech or feeding concerns.
She can provide early intervention recommendations and, where needed, referral to trusted partners. This holistic approach helps ensure that overall oral and facial development and function are supported for both children and adults.
